Nungon child number knowledge
  • Description

This dataset contains primary audio and video recordings of 30 preschool children in five villages in the Nungon-speaking upper Uruwa River valley of Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea. The children responded to two versions of the ‘give me X’ number knowledge evaluation task, using pebbles. Then each child was recorded conversing with an adult caregiver for 15 minutes. Video recordings are organized into folders by village and then by child; audio recordings are together in a separate folder. This dataset contains identifiable information and remains private. To discuss the data collected, please contact the principal investigator Hannah Sarvasy h.sarvasy@westernsydney.edu.au ORCID 0000-0002-9551-480X
