Active and Interactive Technology-Enabled Formative Learning Impact on Student Skills Development, Academic Achievement, and Retention

The aim of this article is to evaluate the impact of two formative learning pedagogies on student skills development, academic achievement, and retentionand and present the findings of their pre-implementation and post-implementation. A comparison between the findings of the two years of formative learning and the pre-implementation year is given. Finally, some conclusions are highlighted which are based on these finding and the author’s observations. The dataset was collected during the second semester of the three academic years 2020, 2021 and 2022 and it relates to student assessment marks including the final exam summative assessment mark, total mark, the counts of all final grades, and the count of student drop-off in each of the three years.
